Well, there is a bit of truth in that statement: Wordpress is extremely user friendly for non-technical users (a.k.a. morons). On the other hand, if you have some computer skills, you'll feel more comfortable and free with Movable Type: It lets you do whatever you want to, without limiting your options or constraining you. It's kind of like the eternal Windows vs Linux dichotomy.
As for security, Movable Type wins hands down.

Visprint is a C program that creates fractal fingerprint images based on the contents of any file. It"s nothing but a funny toy, but the generated graphics are pretty cool.
The code has been orphan in the net for several years. I rescued it, revised and documented it.
Yesterday I released the 2.0 version of the program under the GPL.
